Research has shown that empathetic leadership is linked to higher levels of employee productivity, innovation, & engagement (Catalyst, Forbes, Gallup) and that empathy will become a differentiator for businesses moving into 2023 (Qualtrics). Recent research from Catalyst highlighted why empathy is not just an optional component but a necessary one in today’s organizations:
1) The more empathetic their managers and senior leaders are, the more productive and innovative employees were
2) When employees view their Senior Leaders as empathetic, they are less likely to leave the organization
3) Empathetic leadership is linked to a more inclusive environment where employees also feel that their life circumstances are respected
Learn more about why empathy matters, examples of where to add it into your people programs, and actionable steps to start enacting it in your organization.
In this session, we will explore:
1) Understanding of empathetic leadership and empathy practices in general.
2) Examples of people programs that could benefit from the lens of empathy.
